Maureen Farley of Minden, Nevada has been involved in visual arts for as long as she can remember. She is currently specializing in bird and animal pictures, painted with watercolors and colored pencils. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada in psychology with a minor in fine arts.
Inspiration from the animals and scenery of the Great Basin and Sierra Nevadas led to numerous awards for painting and photography. Most notably her acrylic painting entitled “Lampe Park” received the prestigious Carson Valley Library Award. She is an active member of the Colored Pencil Society of America as well as the Nevada and Carson Valley Artists Associations.
