Glass artist, Tim Stevenson, a born and raised Nevadan, has recently returned to his roots bringing 30 years of experience in design and fabrication of artglass installations. From his commission based studio, Leaded Bee Artglass, Tim works primarily in leaded glass, creating works for ecclesiastical, architectural, residential and business settings. "My work is primarily to interconnect architecture with art and enhance human aesthetics by imparting the joyous interplay of refracted light and color into any living environment. Beyond mere decoration, I attempt to translate the power and luster of artglass to provoke an invigorating though calming reaction to those who use that space." His work has been installed across the United States as well as Canada, Mexico and Japan.
Mouth blown glasses are widely utilized in his pieces, as are clear, textured glasses, found glass, Austrian crystals, bevel strips and sand etched accents. Whether modern or traditional in design, Leaded Bee Artglass brings originality and vitality to each project with dedication to thoughtful, elegant design.
